Paramedic

ED Paramedic

Provides direct patient care within the level of training as a paramedic on patient population of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Performs in the hospital setting under the direct supervision of registered nurse or physician as credentialed by the hospital Medical Executive Committee. Performs other unit specific duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs as Paramedic in the Emergency Department
• Participates in process improvement for the department assigned
• Performs patient-focused care
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery
• Completes assigned goals
• Stays current on all licensure and certifications

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross PHTLS (Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support)

Licensure: Current, valid EMCT Paramedic Certification through the state of Arizona

One year experience as a Paramedic
