Associate Scientist - Immunochemistry Research and Development Biomarkers

$24 - $25 per hour

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Associate Scientist to perform sample preparation, analytical testing, and data review for pharmaceutical compounds in laboratory and biological matrices. The role involves instrument operation, QC/QA management, and compliance with regulatory standards in a fully onsite Richmond, Virginia position.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex sample preparation and analysis procedures for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds
Review, interpret, and analyze analytical data for technical, quality, and regulatory compliance
Manage QC/QA responsibilities and oversee peer review of data prior to customer submission
Troubleshoot extraction and instrumentation problems with assistance
Operate, maintain, and train on analytical instrumentation following SOPs and regulatory procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification
1+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or bioanalytical laboratory work
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, GMP/GLP, and ICH standards
Proficiency with analytical instrumentation operation and maintenance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong written and oral communication skills
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in analytical chemistry

Compensation: $24.00–$25.00 hourly
