Medical Assistant Certified

Position Summary Full-time MA position available for our Tacoma 11th St Medical Clinic. This medical site serves the homeless population with showers, laundry, food bank and clothing. Responsibilities Ideal candidate(s) will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic and professional demeanor, and excel at multi‑tasking while serving as an integral part of the care team ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: administering injections and distributing oral medications under a physician’s order, assisting medical providers with charting office visits, performing venipuncture, and rooming patients. Education and Requirements This position requires the candidate to have a Washington State MA‑Certificate or to possess an MA‑Interim License and pass the exam within the 90‑day probationary period. Possess and maintain a CPR certification. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
