Assistant Controller

We are looking for an accounting professional who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and contributing to the financial success of a growing resort environment. In this role, you will assist with key accounting and reporting activities for resort operations, homeowner associations, and related legal entities. You will work closely with leadership, gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions, and help support accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information for the organization.

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple homeowner associations and business entities.
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, allocations, financial schedules, and related supporting documentation.
• Support the preparation and review of financial statements and reports used by leadership, ownership groups, association boards, auditors, and tax professionals.
• Help maintain accurate general ledger activity and support proper transaction coding across entities, departments, properties, and associations.
• Assist with accounting activities related to cash receipts, disbursements, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, billing, and cash flow reporting.
• Support intercompany transactions, shared expense allocations, reserve fund reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Contribute ideas and support improvements to accounting workflows, documentation, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with the Executive Vice President, Finance Manager, and other team members to support accurate reporting and smooth finance operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA designation or CPA candidacy is strongly preferred.
• Five to eight years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, allocations, intercompany transactions, and audit support.
• Experience in homeowner association, property management, hospitality, resort operations, condominium association, or real estate accounting is strongly preferred.
• NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting principles.
• A detail-oriented, analytical approach with strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
