Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.What are we looking for?The Geotechnical Driller is responsible for performing a variety of drilling activities to obtain boring samples. Examples include soil drilling, rock coring, sampling, classifications, in-situ testing and monitoring well installation.Salary & Benefits Information:In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.What you'll do:Investigate sub surface conditions, recognize and identify soil and rock types and material classificationOperate drilling equipment at shallow to moderate depths to perform complex site investigationsResponsible for drill rig transportationTrain and direct Driller Assistants, identify and coordinate daily work schedules at job siteDirect site inquiries from general public to the project teamPrepare tooling and supplies for the day's tasks and loads/unloads/assembles/disassembles augers; trouble shoot drilling challengesRetrieve / log samples and maintain record log of drilling activitiesClean and maintain equipment and perform site clean upThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
