Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with visual impairments in an engaging educational environment near Orlando, FL. This vital role focuses on delivering direct instruction and consultative services for a diverse K–8 caseload, providing expert support across elementary, middle, and high school settings within a close-knit school cluster. With a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) and an itinerant assignment, you’ll collaborate with various schools while making a meaningful difference for approximately 12 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid educator certification and national credential required
• Demonstrated experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or similar role
• Knowledge of best practices for K–8 students with visual impairments
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Completion of district background check, fingerprinting, and required paperwork
• Adaptability to itinerant settings within elementary, middle, and high schools

Role Highlights:

• Provide direct instruction and adaptive support for students with visual impairments across multiple school sites
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to foster inclusion and accessibility
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Travel between 2 schools per day within designated clusters (3 schools is rare)
• Work with a caseload of up to 12 students, primarily in grades K–8, with specific case assignments tailored to your experience and availability

This position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 25, 2027. Candidates will be actively interviewed starting July 16, 2026, with prescreen interviews conducted to determine suitability.
