Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II , you will perform advanced diagnostic laboratory testing while supporting quality, compliance, and operational excellence within the laboratory. In this role, you will conduct moderate to high-complexity testing, assist with training and orientation of testing personnel, and support continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing advanced diagnostic testing and quality control procedures

• Preparing reagents and reporting test results in accordance with established policies and procedures

• Conducting moderate to high-complexity testing

• Maintaining laboratory systems, equipment, and supplies

• Assisting with training and orientation of laboratory testing personnel

• Evaluating competencies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

• Demonstrating leadership in maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency

• Performing other duties as assigned in support of laboratory operations

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related field

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience

Required:

• Clinical laboratory experience

Licensure / Certification

Required:

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist License
