Air export specialist

About the Role Our client, a leading global logistics and freight forwarding provider, is seeking a detail-oriented Air Export Freight Forwarder to join their operations team. In this role, you will manage daily air export shipments from booking to final delivery, ensuring seamless coordination with overseas agents, airlines, customs agencies, and customers while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant freight forwarding or air export logistics experience.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Working understanding of air export compliance, including TSA guidelines, ACE, and Dangerous Goods (D/G) procedures.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and proprietary transport/fleet management databases.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across internal departments and international branches.
• Core Competencies: strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, self-motivated, and proven problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shipment Operations & Execution: Handle and coordinate daily air export shipments (free hand and routed) with customers, airlines, regional branches, and overseas agents.
• Booking & Documentation: Make air freight bookings with carriers, generate debit notes, and issue timely pre-alerts to destination offices and overseas partners.
• Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all operations strictly comply with TSA, KSMS, ACE, Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods (D/G), and other federal/international regulatory standards.
• Customs & Tracking: Monitor and coordinate air export customs declarations, follow up on brokerage updates, and maintain real-time tracking for customers.
• System & Financial Management: Input accurate operational, sales, and cost data into internal enterprise systems; perform monthly lot close-outs for air export operations.
• Client & Departmental Support: Provide exceptional customer service, resolve operational issues proactively, and support sales and customer service teams with client inquiries.
