Help build projects that perform responsibly—from planning through operation. We're looking for a proactive Environmental Specialist to support environmental planning, compliance, monitoring, and reporting throughout the full lifecycle of retrofit projects—from early planning and design through construction, and ongoing operations. This is an opportunity to be involved early, helping project teams identify environmental requirements and potential impacts before they become challenges. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, operations personnel, and regulatory stakeholders to develop practical solutions and keep environmental commitments on track.

What You'll Do

• Support the development and implementation of project-specific environmental plans, procedures, and compliance strategies.
• Identify applicable environmental requirements and help translate them into practical project controls and work practices.
• Conduct ongoing environmental monitoring, inspections, sampling, field assessments, etc. during construction and operation.
• Track environmental requirements, permit conditions, monitoring requirements, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain environmental records, reports, logs, and regulatory documentation.
• Support preparation and submission of required environmental reports, notifications, and permit-related documentation.
• Coordinate/Perform environmental sampling, testing, and data collection as needed.
• Work with contractors and project teams to address environmental concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with nonconformance investigations, root-cause evaluations, and development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor changes in applicable environmental regulations and requirements and help communicate their impact to project and operations teams.
• Serve as a resource to project personnel, helping maintain environmental awareness and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of environmental programs, processes, and reporting systems.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in environmental compliance, environmental monitoring, construction, industrial operations, facilities, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Experience with environmental inspections, monitoring, data collection, reporting, or compliance programs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple environmental requirements and project priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, project managers, contractors, operations teams, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to addressing environmental issues.
• Ability and willingness to spend time in the field supporting project and construction activities.
• Relevant education, certification, or professional credential in environmental science, environmental engineering, natural resources, or a related discipline is preferred.
