2026‑27 Paraprofessional Non‑Instructional – Bamford Elementary School, Loveland, Colorado Job Title: Paraprofessional, Non-Instructional School: Bamford Elementary School, Loveland, Colorado School Year: 2026‑27 Start Date: Aug19, 2026 Position Type: Part‑time (Hours/day: 2; Work calendar days: 180; Duration: Ongoing) Pay Range: $16.69 – $18.69 per hour (subject to board approval in June2026) Benefits: health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short and long‑term disability, access to employee walk‑in clinic, and other optional benefit elections. Job Summary Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with clerical tasks, including typing documents; grading tests and assignments; preparing instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays; and copying and preparing classroom materials. Assist with monitoring students outside of the classroom. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare classroom materials and tests. Type, copy, collate, staple, bind, and laminate classroom materials. (Daily – 20%) Grade student tests and other assignments. (Daily – 20%) Prepare instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays. (Daily – 20%) Monitor students during breaks, lunch, recess and/or getting on and off the bus. Reinforce school‑wide discipline procedures. (Daily – 20%) Attend work and arrive in a timely manner. (Daily – 1%) Attend appropriate in‑services, building meetings, training and/or school functions. (Monthly – 5%) Perform other duties as assigned. (Ongoing – 4%) Education and Related Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent One year of related experience Experience working in a school setting preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable Licenses, Registrations or Certifications Criminal background check required for hire Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Oral and written communication skills English language skills Interpersonal relations skills Mathematical skills including basic calculations and application of basic math concepts Personal computer and keyboarding skills Bilingual oral and written communication skills may be required or preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, use time efficiently, demonstrate attention to detail, follow instructions, and respond to management direction Ability to participate and work in a team environment Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual employee presence Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, and building and department procedures Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator Materials and Equipment Operating Knowledge Basic operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, peripherals and media equipment Basic operating knowledge of and experience with office software Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, email, etc. Reporting Relationships Direct reports: None (no supervisory responsibilities) Responsible for supervising the behavior and well‑being of students during breaks, lunch, recess and/or getting on and off the bus Physical Requirements & Working Conditions The physical demands, work environment factors, and mental functions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
