Labcorp - Float Phlebotomist Location: Florence, SC Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of a Phlebotomy training program, or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 2 years or more of experience with all age groups Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation Must be 21 years old or older Benefits Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement Comprehensive benefits for employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off or Flexible Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401(k) participation for employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern and temporary employees Employees scheduled to work a 7 on / 7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except Paid Time Off or Flexible Time Off Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
