This role provides hands‑on training in building systems maintenance, offering an excellent pathway into a lifelong skilled trade with opportunities for advancement. You will work closely with experienced engineers to learn the fundamentals of building operations, safety, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform supervised inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, and minor equipment adjustments Support troubleshooting and basic repairs under guidance from senior engineering staff Learn to enter work orders, update maintenance logs, and maintain inventory of spare parts Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report hazards Assist in preparing basic technical reports and maintenance checklists Participate in facility projects including equipment installations, system upgrades, and energy‑efficiency initiatives Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic tools Strong desire to learn a skilled trade and grow within facilities or building maintenance Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork abilities Ability to perform physical tasks and follow safety procedures Schedule Full‑time position Typical duration: 6–12 months (flexible) Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for emergency support Compensation Hourly pay or stipend, based on company policy #J-18808-Ljbffr Corporate Realty, Inc.
