Retail Part Time Team Lead

At Office Depot, the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role responsible for delivering “total solutions” to our customers. The Team Lead builds and maintains customer relationships, becomes a trusted advisor using company training, and supports a customer‑centric environment while contributing to a positive culture that aligns with Office Depot’s 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. Primary Responsibilities Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales. Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on‑time. Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate the appropriate service for all customers throughout the store. Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Ensure regular loss prevention compliance and support the company’s loss prevention efforts. Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, average order value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives. Client Engagement: Drive positive client satisfaction levels, including coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience. Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided to deliver the total solution. External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety and security of the building and associates in the absence of the management team. Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including alarm system management and store access procedures. Assist with review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption, and related cash office audits. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1–3 years related experience; sales and/or customer service preferred. Basic computer skills; ability to use job‑related technology and POS systems. Attention to detail and, ideally, experience in Print Services. Advanced selling skills and strong customer focus. Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. Positive, engaging, and adaptable in a changing environment. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and trust. Action‑oriented with a drive for results, sound decision‑making, patience, and a desire to continuously build product and selling knowledge.
