Medical Records SupervisorSpringbrook Behavioral Health is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the medical records department, ensuring that all medical records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.Medical Records Supervisor Responsibilities & DutiesSupervise and manage the medical records department and its employees.Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records.Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of medical record keeping.Maintain and update the medical records system to meet changing regulations and requirements.Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient record keeping processes.Provide training and support to medical records staff.Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.Medical Records Supervisor Qualifications & Skills3+ years of experience in medical records management or a related field.Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related fieldCertification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsExperience working with and an understanding of medical codingKnowledge of medical records regulations, and health care lawsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent organizational skillsAttention to detailAbility to handle sensitive information with discretionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with medical record-keeping software
