CVICU Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to float among five hospitals based on staffing needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in cardiac care and have a passion for providing excellent patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from open heart surgery.
- Monitor and manage patients on life support systems such as balloon pumps and ECMO.
- Administer medications and treatment plans as per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care.
- Document patient care and progress using the Epic charting system.
- Assist with procedures, managing and monitoring devices and equipment as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required.
- Experience with open heart recovery, balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, and ECMO is essential.
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
- Current RN license in good standing is required.
