Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State License (Compact license must be in hand) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drip experience with titration and management - Previous charge experience preferred Description: Stepdown and PCU nurses are needed with cardiac drip experience. Titration and management of cardiac drips is a hard-stop requirement. The facility is a short-term acute care and a Level II trauma center. Total staffed beds are 629. This is a teaching hospital. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census and supports various healthcare services. Patient diagnoses include CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and suspected MI. Special procedures include management and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Charting is done using an electronic system. The patient ratios at nights are based on staffing. Weekend coverage is required, with a schedule that includes every other weekend. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. References covering a year of experience within the last three years are required during the compliance process. There may be a requirement for communication devices for the assignment. Travelers must commit to working a specified number of holidays. All requests for time off must be made upfront during submission.
