Responsible for performing standard and investigative laboratory work in support of scientific research by performing bench‑level experiments, operating analytical instruments, recovering, compiling and verifying the accuracy of research data; performing calculations; preparing charts, graphs and summaries. Responsibilities Performs the duties of the Research Technician plus: Identify methodological problems in research protocol and implement modifications to optimize experimental results. Prepare and present written or oral progress reports concerning studies including assembly, organization, and interpretation of data. Assist in the design of experiments; may be responsible for the performance of individual research projects. Conduct literature reviews to assist in determining most suitable methods to be used in research. Assist in publication of results by proofreading, editing, and contributing ideas. May perform statistical analyses, write computer programs, or manage research data base. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of experience working in a lab outside of school coursework. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree. Candidates with excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral) plus an ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment are encouraged to apply. Highly motivated, possess a high level of initiative and attention to details. Must be capable of working independently on multiple projects in a team environment. Experience with cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, and/or molecular biology techniques e.g. quantitative PCR is strongly desired. Previous experience using primary B cells, Crispr‑Cas9 editing and ELISA is desired, but not required. Knowledge or experience maintaining and ordering materials is preferred in addition to excellent record keeping skills. The ideal candidate would be familiar with computer programs including Microsoft Office, FlowJo, Graphpad Prism, and/or similar products. The hourly pay range for this position is from $27.01 to $38.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
