Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• We need strong hands-on experience developing, debugging, and commissioning PLC code and HMI applications.
• We require experience programming, integrating, teaching, and commissioning industrial or collaborative robots.
• We need experience configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting servo drives, servo motors, and motion-control systems.
• We require a proven track record delivering automated equipment from requirements and design through programming, commissioning, documentation, training, and final production transfer.
• We need experience integrating PLCs, HMIs, robots, motion platforms, safety devices, industrial networks, sensors, pneumatics, and test systems.
• We require the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, machine drawings, I/O lists, network diagrams, and control panel documentation.
• We require legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to SCADA, LabVIEW, embedded systems, Python, C/C++, SQL, or manufacturing data systems.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Universal Robots, EPSON, FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or similar robotics platforms.
• Preferred qualifications include creating machine SOPs, operating manuals, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
• We need strong knowledge of machine sequencing, operating modes, interlocks, alarms, diagnostics, industrial communications, and fault-recovery routines.
• We require excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills for complex automation problems.
• We need strong communication and collaboration abilities to work across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
• We require the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and develop practical solutions within budget and schedule constraints.
• We need strong computer skills and the ability to interpret technical data to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• We design, develop, and implement automation solutions that convert manual and semi-automated manufacturing processes into fully integrated assembly and product testing systems.
• We develop control architectures, functional requirements, machine sequences, I/O layouts, network designs, and equipment integration strategies.
• We program, troubleshoot, and commission PLCs, HMIs, servo-motion systems, industrial and collaborative robots, and machine controls.
• We integrate automation components such as PLCs, robots, vision systems, sensors, safety systems, pneumatics, test equipment, and industrial communication networks.
• We lead automation projects from concept and design through programming, testing, installation, commissioning, validation, production ramp-up, and final handoff.
• We prepare technical documentation including project proposals, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, execution plans, SOPs, operating manuals, work instructions, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to design machine layouts, tooling, fixtures, guarding, sensor placement, and equipment accessibility while ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
• We train engineers, technicians, and operators on equipment operation, robot programming, troubleshooting, and safe working practices.
• We provide ongoing production support by resolving complex automation and controls issues while improving equipment reliability and performance.
• We apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to improve throughput, product quality, safety, equipment reliability, cycle time, and operational efficiency.
• We ensure automated equipment meets safety, quality, documentation, maintainability, and operator usability standards before release to production.
