Job Description:
The CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Operating Room environment. The RN will assist with complex cardiac surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, monitor patient status, and collaborate closely with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist with CABG, valve replacement, and other cardiac surgeries
• Monitor and assess patients throughout perioperative procedures
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to surgical safety protocols
• Read and interpret EKG strips as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and OR staff
• Document patient care accurately within Cerner EMR
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical patient support

Requirements

• Active RN License required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of strong CVOR experience required
• Must have recent cardiovascular operating room experience
• Must be comfortable scrubbing in cardiac surgeries
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced OR environment required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required
