- Selects, positions and aligns dies in machine ram bed.
- Turns sets screws or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
- Turns adjustments screws to set specified pressure of ram and clearance between dies to thickness of metal.
- Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints or templates.
- Positions work piece to align layout marks or to backstop.
- Starts machine to lower ram or depress pedal to activate ram that bends metal.
- Sets stop on machine bed and reposition stock to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations.
- Verifies dimensions of work piece.
- At least a year of press machine operating experience
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40lb
- Read blueprints
- Use Calipers
