Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-6 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Freeport, ME. This position starts August 24th and offers a flexible weekly commitment of approximately 20 hours, with potential for slight adjustment. You’ll serve a small, manageable caseload of 8-10 students on-site, tailoring impactful therapies and fostering communication skills that will last a lifetime.

Desired Background:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active SLP license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain).
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed.
• SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of school-based SLP requirements and IEP processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized assessments.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
• Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to K-6 students in an engaging, supportive manner.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote strategies that generalize skills across environments.
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school and state regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute professionally to the educational community.
