Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, neuro/spine, plastics, robotics, vascular, and OB-GYN
• Support a case mix of approximately 30% inpatient, 70% outpatient, and 10% pediatric procedures
• Administer blood and blood products, manage epidural pumps, PICC/central lines, port-a-cath and vascular device access, wound vacs, and drains
• Perform procedural sedation as required
• Participate in on-call rotation shared among approximately 15 RNs; on-call shifts are 12 hours (weekday evenings 7 PM–7 AM; weekend/holiday shifts 7 PM–7 AM or 7 AM–7 PM)
• Float to other campuses as needed to support surgical services

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active compact license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with robotics and procedural sedation
• Proficiency in orthopedic/sports medicine surgical cases
• Experience with blood/blood product administration, drains, epidural pumps, PICC/central lines, port-a-cath/vascular device access, and wound vacs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred, particularly for ENT cases with endoscope experience
• Experience with robotics-assisted surgical procedures in an ENT setting
