Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Inglewood, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM4:00 PM Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations in Inglewood, CA. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and shipment of fresh flowers and fish products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive inbound shipments of flowers, fish, and related products. Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation. Inspect products for quality, quantity, and damage upon arrival. Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into warehouse management systems. Prepare and process outbound shipments according to customer requirements and delivery schedules. Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other transportation documents. Coordinate with warehouse personnel, drivers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely product movement. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle counting. Organize and stage products for shipment while following handling requirements for perishable goods. Monitor and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and shipment issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures, food safety standards, and quality control guidelines. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred. Experience working with perishable products, food distribution, floral products, or live animal handling is a plus. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Full-time, MondayFriday, 7:00 AM4:00 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak business periods.
