As a Security Officer in Huntsville, AL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to varying conditions common in an aerospace and defense environment.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support emergency preparedness activities by communicating with site personnel, assisting with evacuations and/or restricted area controls, and helping to deter disruptions to daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
