Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Oncology

Location: Idaho Falls, ID

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with two weekends a month required.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Oncology unit. The unit has 39 beds and a dedicated staff of 60, providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical oncology setting.
• Administer medications safely and effectively with a goal of 98% or above medication safety compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and self-care.
• Utilize equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and Novastat as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN License.
• BLS certification.
• Exceptional communication and time management skills are a must.
• Experience in chemotherapy administration is preferred.
