Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is eager to contribute to the financial success of the organization.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal management.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
