Shift: 07:00-19:00 Unit Information: PICU/ Pediatric ICU / (645) Location: Wesley Children’s Hospital Address: 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214 Floor: Building: Wesley Medical Center Children’s Entrance General Information: Level II Trauma Number of Beds: 15 Number of Staff: 38 Type of staff: Day Shift Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, Case Management Night Shift - Intensivist, RN and RT Patient Ratios: 2:1 Type of equipment: General CR Monitoring EMR Meditech / CPN Typical hiring profile: Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience BLS & PALS Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. CRRT Experience APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital Experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): IV starts and blood draws TPT placements Best personality Fit: Works well under pressure and in a teaching hospital Patient care experience is a priority Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
