Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and other heavy-duty freight vehicles across designated routes and job sites
• Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure cargo handling
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving to prevent accidents or violations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with the setup or breakdown of freight loads on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as needed for specific deliveries

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks in a commercial setting
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the operation of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers is highly desirable
• Delivery driver experience involving route planning, load & unload procedures, and freight handling
• Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
• Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and other specialized vehicles
