Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13-26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Previous experience in a challenging and busy cardiac telemetry unit. Description: Cross posting for cardiac telemetry position. RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. The required skills include IV Start and telemetry experience. Candidates should have experience with pre and post procedure cardiac patients. Knowledge of cardiac drips is essential. Must be comfortable taking 5-6 patients with the possibility of fluctuations based on unit needs. The unit is a primary cardiac and stroke unit. It provides stable pre/post care for cardiac procedures. This includes pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterizations. Nurses will manage multiple drips such as Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone. Experience in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Currently, the unit houses COVID-positive patients using specific respiratory equipment. Unit orientation consists of 36 hours. Self-scheduling is available but will have oversight from leadership. The unit typically turns over 78-90 patients a week. Floating to other units may be required based on patient needs. Nurses must be open to working every other weekend and select weekdays. Candidates must be able to handle patient intake and discharges efficiently. Specific requirements include passing EKG testing prior to starting. All skills listed are essential for the role. Pre-start modules must be completed online before commencing the position.
