JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: LOD - Public Areas Crew Member
FLSA: Non-Exempt/ Hourly
REPORTS TO: Manager, Public Areas
SUMMARY: Public Areas Crew Members are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas. This includes: restaurants, stairwells, walkways, restrooms, windows, snow removal and all other areas as designated by the Public Areas Supervisor. Crew Members are expected to promote a positive image of the resort property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also able to efficiently address guest requests and problems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
- Snow Removal from Public Areas to include using snow bowers, shovels and ice picks.
- Can effectively working independently, and should comfortable working with little supervision
- Available for a first shift from 6am-2pm
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
GED or High School Diploma preferred.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S):
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license upon hire and maintain throughout the length of employment.
- Physical demands on the incumbent consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Incumbent must have the stamina to work long hours and overtime, if assigned, and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or varying shifts.
- Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor environment. Incumbent shall be exposed to conditions normally encountered in an outdoor environment and including travel from site to site.
- Incumbent wears personal equipment protection including protective footwear.
