Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on managing trauma, stroke, and STEMI patients. The ER RN will be responsible for assessing, triaging, and delivering urgent care to a diverse patient population, including occasional obstetric cases and mother/baby management until transfer.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications. Valid Missouri or Compact state license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in STEMI or stroke competencies, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, ABG interpretation, work in Certified Stroke or STEMI facilities, experience with arterial line management and vented patient care.
- Float: Regular floating to other departments and units within scope may be required as needed.
- Additional Information: The facility is a primary stroke and STEMI center with a non-trauma emergency department. The unit supports general emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, with a typical census of 50 patients daily. RTO (Request for Time Off) is limited to a maximum of 7 days, with shifts to be completed as scheduled. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week on night shifts.
