Graduate Civil Engineer

Lapham Associates is hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Division in Clare or West Branch, Michigan. We're a full-service engineering, surveying, environmental, and planning firm that's served Michigan clients since 1958. This role is a strong entry point for a recent grad to build a career in civil design, working directly under licensed engineers on land development, municipal, and infrastructure projects. What you'll do: Support site development design, grading and drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management Help prepare construction documents, with exposure to permitting and construction administration Work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer Collaborate with our Surveying, Planning, and UAV/Drone Services divisions Get exposure to dam safety inspection work and select structural design assignments What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program No professional experience required — relevant internship experience is a plus FE exam passed is preferred but not required Comfortable learning new software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Excel Willing to do occasional fieldwork Valid driver's license $70,000–$80,000 depending on qualifications.
