Medical Device AssemblerThe Cleanroom Assembler performs precise medical device assembly operations in a controlled cleanroom environment, working with small, delicate components that require excellent fine motor skills and attention to detail. This role focuses on stent coating, crimping, sealing, packaging, and related tasks while following strict quality standards, cleanroom protocols, and written work instructions.ResponsibilitiesPerform manufacturing operations including stent coating, crimping, sealing, packaging, and other assembly activities using fine motor skills to handle small, delicate components.Conduct visual inspections under a microscope to verify product quality and ensure conformance to specifications and standards.Read and interpret work orders, production documentation, and instructions to complete tasks accurately and consistently.Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of the cleanroom work area to maintain a controlled and compliant environment.Carry out basic preventative maintenance and equipment care activities to support reliable and efficient operation of production tools.Use hand tools and mechanical tools as needed to support assembly and production tasks.Accurately enter data and maintain records in basic computer systems for production tracking and documentation.Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to perform repetitive precision tasks with consistent quality.Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning and use of lab coats, shoe covers, gloves, and other protective attire.Collaborate with a small production team to meet daily output goals while maintaining high quality standards.Participate in general production and inspection activities as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.Essential SkillsProven ability to work on an assembly line performing production and small part assembly tasks.Experience with packaging operations in a manufacturing or production environment.Microscope experience for performing visual inspections and verifying product quality.Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and working within fine tolerances.Ability to read and follow work orders and detailed written instructions accurately.Experience in production, assembly, and general mechanical or hand tool use.Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following established cleanroom protocols.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.Ability to perform repetitive precision tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.Ability to follow detailed verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a small team.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in medical device assembly or other regulated manufacturing environments.Familiarity with inspection processes and quality verification procedures.Experience working with coating, crimping, and sealing processes in a production setting.Comfort working with mechanical tools and general production equipment.Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling, including occasional Saturday availability (preferred but not mandatory).Why Work Here?You will work in a clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized facility that values precision, quality, and teamwork. The facility is climate controlled, clean, and organized, providing a comfortable and consistent work setting. Approximately 90% of daily operations take place inside the cleanroom, where strict protocols apply. Gowning is required, including lab coat, gown, shoe covers, gloves, and other protective attire, to maintain cleanliness and product integrity. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a flexible start time between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., working 8 hours from the chosen start time. There are two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch period during the day. Some availability on Saturdays is preferred but not mandatory. Work involves the use of microscopes, hand tools, and production equipment for medical device assembly, inspection, and packaging in a controlled cleanroom environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
