CNC Machinist

Position: CNC Machinist Location: Loganville, GA Schedule: Mon-Fri, 4pm - 4:30am Pay: $26.00 - $32.00/hr Job Type: Direct Hire Job Summary We are hiring a CNC Machinist for a client seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, hands-on machining experience, and the ability to work independently to produce finished parts that meet production specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual CNC machines, including drill presses, lathes, and mills
- Create, edit, and modify G&M code and Mazatrol programs to support progressive machining
- Troubleshoot machine alarms and ensure accurate part production
- Perform machine adjustments and routine maintenance in compliance with safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to verify part accuracy
- Manage and organize raw materials to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32"increments with inch-to-decimal conversions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including digital/vernier calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of dimensions and sizing of common structural steel
- Technical degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent machining experience
- Experience with Mazatrol programming
- Background in a high-volume or production machining environment
- Familiarity with G&M code editing and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
