Staff Accountant - Treasury and Intercompany

Staff Accountant - Corporate Accounting & Treasury Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

About the Opportunity We are partnering with a growing, multi-entity organization in the Houston area seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role offers strong exposure to treasury operations, intercompany accounting, and a dynamic, evolving business environment.


This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a centralized accounting function supporting multiple operating entities.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and support general ledger accounting activities
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Monitor daily cash activity and support cash reporting processes
• Assist with intercompany transactions, billing, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
• Assist with audit requests and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (relevant experience will also be considered)
• 2+ years of accounting experience, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement flow
• Experience with month-end close processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to multi-entity or intercompany accounting
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Background in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments
