Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to prepare nutritious, high‑quality meals for clients and staff in our residential behavioral health program. Benefits 401(k) (After 90 days of continuous employment) Paid Time Off (PTO) Health, Dental, & Vision insurance (Offered after 60 days of employment) Compensation: Responsibilities Prepare all food in accordance with the established menu, special diet plans, and facility standards. Ensure meals are served on time with proper temperatures — hot food hot and cold food cold. Maintain food quality by using proper cooking temperatures, holding practices, and storage techniques to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste. Assist in menu planning and placing orders for dairy, bakery, produce, and other food items. Check menu items three days in advance to confirm availability and prepare food in sufficient quantities for all meals. Assist with food preparation for special meals, events, and parties as needed. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, utensils, and food storage spaces; perform weekly and monthly cleaning tasks. Take daily food and equipment temperatures and complete all daily production records. Report broken or damaged equipment to the supervisor promptly. Complete monthly departmental in‑services and adhere to all infection control policies. Demonstrate good working knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cleaning chemicals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook. Food Handling Certificate/SafeServe certification required. Knowledge of standard food service practices, procedures, and equipment. Ability to read and follow instructions in English; must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
