Applying outside of your employee Workday account may cause delays in a hire process.Department:College of Arts & SciencesTime Type:Part timeFLSA Status:Non-ExemptJob Description:Summary:The Center for Language Exploration, Acquisition, and Research (CLEAR) supports the work done by the faculty in the department of World Languages and Cultures at American University by hosting staff and resources to enhance the language courses offered on campus and to facilitate AU students’ language learning experience overall. The Center provides language coaching, administers language assessments, advances professional development, hosts cultural events, and curates a growing collection of language-related resources.We are looking for dynamic Associates to join the CLEAR team. The people in this position provide clerical and logistic support to CLEAR Patrons (students, faculty) and CLEAR staff.Essential Functions:Greet all students and visitors.Help students schedule, reschedule, and attend coaching appointments.Maintain inventory, ensure resources are allocated to their designated locations, and ensure items are in good working order.Assist in hosting of events.Work as part of a team: collaborate and help your teammates when needed.Assist with general tasks as needed.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:Part-time.10 hours per week.Salary Range:$18.40 - $20.00 per hour.Required Education and Experience:Punctuality and reliability are essential.Preferred Education and Experience:Previous experience with customer service is highly desired.Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Bring your energy and passion to executing CLEAR’s mission.Complete required training.Work short shifts: Most shifts are 2 hours (max) per day, with weekly commitments set between 6 to 8 hours per week.
