Position Summary

Responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and packaging letters, booklets, and other printed materials for daily distribution. Ensures all shipments are accompanied by the appropriate documentation and handled in a timely manner to support high-quality service for both internal and external customers.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate machinery/equipment used to process daily mail and other print jobs.
• Perform all the following functions: sort, fold, hand / machine insert letters and enclosures; process letter retypes and reprints; operate printers, cutters, tabbers and pallet jacks; provide monthly activity reports as requested.
• Efficiently and accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare for shipment.
• Check-in, observe and communicate with team members to assess areas needing assistance.
• Carry out shipping processes and procedures to maintain production efficiency. Including proper labeling on all shipments.
• Create, maintain, run shipping records.
• Fulfill subscription back-starts and missed copies.
• Maintain appropriate records and documents assigned to support internal and external audits.
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks to move large quantities of work.
• Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate a safe and efficient work environment.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
• Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements and guidelines.
• Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off requests.

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Assist in daily end of day processes in order to mail output in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collate, staple and assist in copy center jobs as necessary.
• Maintain and run reports, as requested.
• Crosstrain in all distribution department functions to support and assist other members of the team, as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:

• Mechanically inclined is helpful/preferred.
• 6 months experience in a distribution or shipping environment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in detail-oriented work demonstrating ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become certified under the organization's pallet jack training program.

Computer Skills : Basic knowledge of PC systems and keyboarding skills.
