Assistant Nurse Manager

Location: Jacksonville, FL FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Shift: MID - 3:00PM TO 11:30PM

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.

Minimum Qualifications

Age of Patients Served: All age groups

• Associate's Degree required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BSN must be obtained from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer for applicable new hires
• Employees hired/transferred between August 1, 2013, and June 13, 2017, follow the requirements outlined in their offer letter/job description
• Employees hired/transferred prior to August 1, 2013, are grandfathered
• Preferred: BSN or Bachelor's Degree in a related healthcare field
