Psychiatric Nursing AssistantTri-County Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant (PNA) to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team. The ideal candidate will exercise empathy and compassion as well as perform in a manner representative of the mission and ideals of Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare in all interactions with others.What You Will Do:Initiating patient careEducate patients about the rules of the CSU as neededComplete rounds and monitor for safety at required intervals and complete documentation concurrently.Record and maintain records of patient condition and activity, including vital signs, eating habits, and behavior and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to medical staff.Perform searches of patients for contraband at admission.Assisting with ADLs as indicatedClean and disinfect rooms and furnishings to maintain a safe and orderly environment at scheduled times.Develop and teach strategies to promote client wellness and independence.Engage patients in recreational activities/group activitiesSafely de-escalate patients that are in crisis using learned SAMA techniquesTravel as necessary. Some travel required includes picking up meal trays for patients, providing patient transportation to medical facilitiesTwo positions available:***One position works a 2 week 7am-7pm shift rotation: Week one will be 4 shifts; Week two will be 3 shifts***One position works a 2 week 7pm-7am shift rotation: Week one will be 4 shifts; Week two will be 3 shiftsWhere You Will Work:This position will work in our Psychiatric Emergency Treatment Center (PETC).
