SUMMARY:

Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with traffic regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

Pick up and discharge students in accordance with established time lines; observe legal and defensive driving practices, in all weather elements and road conditions Maintain order and discipline among passengers on the bus; report behavior issues to appropriate personnel; assure student understanding of bus rules Conduct required daily safety inspections of buses; inspect interior, exterior and engine of buses to assure safe operational condition; report mechanical malfunctions or other problems as needed Collaborate with Transportation Director in establishing and maintaining student bus stops and transportation schedules Maintain buses in a clean and safe operating condition Load and unload students as required; utilize and assist students with wheelchair lifts as needed Operates a two-way radio Perform related duties as assigned by the transportation Director to meet the particular needs of the Corporation Other duties may be required or assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
