Fire Alarm Technician

Location: Topeka, KS 66608

Pay Rate: $28-$45hr DOE

Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local codes and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems, wiring, and associated equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing system components.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for system installation and repairs.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure systems meet project specifications and requirements.
• Document all work performed, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs, in accordance with company policies.
• Stay updated on advancements in fire alarm technologies and industry best practices.
  
  
  Qualifications & Requirements
• Proficiency in working with fire alarm systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to work in various environments, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and testing equipment commonly used in fire alarm system maintenance.
