Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Rock Island, IL. In this role, you will assemble, inspect, and test industrial positioning equipment and components while ensuring quality, safety, and production standards are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or production experience who enjoy working with tools and building equipment from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints and work instructions.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of assembled equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with inventory, material handling, and production support tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and use basic measuring instruments.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Work Environment

The Assembly Technician primarily works on the floor in a fabrication shop alongside other technicians and engineers. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, with regular use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. Work is performed around hydraulic and mechanical systems in an active shop setting, where collaboration and communication with the team are part of daily activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Rock Island,IL.
