Catering Waitstaff/Bartender (part-time)

The Catering Waitstaff/Bartender is responsible for working various events on campus following standard procedures to facilitate service of food and beverages to Bowdoin College catering customers. Compensation and perks include an hourly rate of $23.50 per hour, eligibility for overtime, shift, and weekend pay differentials, a guaranteed minimum of 3 hours of pay when scheduled to work, and a free meal on scheduled workdays.

Education/Skills Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, passing the Maine Alcohol Server Course (B.A.S.I.C) upon hire, strong customer service skills, a commitment to dependability and punctuality, the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and working knowledge of good personal hygiene practices.

Experience Requirements include an entry-level position with no prior work experience required, though at least 6 months of bartending or catering waitstaff experience is preferred. This is an onsite, part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 20 hours/week with opportunity for flexible scheduling based on events. Employment at Bowdoin College is contingent upon satisfactory completion of applicable background checks.
