About the role:

The Packer will provide line support while also ensuring consistent and effective quality inspection and product packaging to meet schedule requirements, productivity standards, and quality initiatives.

What you will be doing:

• Support line monitoring activities, alongside the operator to minimize downtime.
• Effectively utilize knowledge of part numbers, product, and product requirements to understand and meet production demands.
• Effectively troubleshoot and communicate line inconsistencies that cause unsatisfactory final product.
• Effectively inspect products to identify and communicate quality deficiencies.
• Effectively package products to meet line efficiency requirements.
• Contribute to a team environment by cross-training on production equipment and processes to fill in for other operators, packers, and selectors during absences and/or increase in customer demand.
• Create a safe workspace by maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas and following safety regulations.
• Enjoyment of wearing many hats is necessary.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Demonstrated steady and consistent work history
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Reliability and flexibility
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written
• Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
• Desire to learn, seek new challenges and to take on additional responsibilities
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Must be resourceful and initiative-taking
• Self-motivated, driven individual
• The determination to work harder than anyone you know
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull
• Must be able to stand up to 10 hours a day
