Universal Banker (Teller & Client Relationship Banker) #3541 About This Role In this role, you will create and deliver a positive client experience while balancing both teller operations and relationship-building responsibilities. Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to processing financial transactions, maintaining operational accuracy, and supporting branch operations. The remaining 50% will focus on building client relationships, identifying financial needs, opening consumer deposit accounts, cross-selling bank products and services, generating referrals, and deepening existing client relationships. You must have a positive attitude, be a team player, actively engage clients in financial conversations, and identify opportunities to help clients achieve their financial goals through First Bank products and services. You will serve as both a trusted banker and an operational resource while maintaining the security of client information and adhering to all bank policies and procedures. In This Role You Will Client Relationship Development Build and maintain client relationships through proactive engagement, financial conversations, and personalized service. Conduct needs-based discussions to identify client goals and recommend appropriate deposit, lending, and digital banking solutions. Work to deepen existing relationships and increase share of wallet through ongoing client interaction. Deposit Growth and Cross-Selling Open and service consumer deposit accounts including checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts. Cross-sell banking products and services based on client needs. Generate referrals to mortgage, business banking, investments, and other internal business partners when appropriate. Teller Operations and Transaction Processing Process client transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashier's checks, and other branch services. Balance cash drawer, maintain cash limits, and perform teller-related operational responsibilities in accordance with established procedures. Support daily branch operational needs while ensuring adherence to all security and compliance requirements. Lobby Engagement and Client Education Actively engage clients in the lobby to identify service opportunities, promote First Bank products and services, and educate clients on digital banking solutions. Assist clients in adopting self-service and digital channels that improve their banking experience. Referrals and Business Development Consistently identify opportunities through client conversations and branch interactions. Meet referral, cross-sell, and relationship growth expectations by connecting clients with appropriate banking solutions and business partners. Qualifications At least one plus years of customer service, sales, retail banking, teller, or financial services experience, required Previous experience opening deposit accounts, cross-selling products, generating referrals, or conducting client financial conversations is strongly preferred Additional Competency Relationship Building and Sales: Ability to develop client relationships, identify financial needs, recommend banking solutions, cross-sell products and services, and generate qualified referrals through consultative conversations. This role will have sales goals assigned. Compensation Disclosure The range for this role takes into account many factors that First Bank considers when making hiring decisions, including but not limited to prior experience, skill set, training, and other internal business and organizational factors. First Bank generally does not hire at or near the top of the stated range. The range is driven by the geographic location of the anticipated hiring location; however, the specific range may vary depending on the geographic location for remote positions. Compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each hiring instance. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is$22.00 - $27.00 hourly.
