Job Description
A client in Moravia, New York is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about oral health, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care to all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and screenings to assess oral health
- Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized homecare instructions
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures as required
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Monitor and manage hygiene supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Valid NY licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, products, and equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging systems
- Continuing education in dental hygiene
- Spanish fluency
