Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Balmoral Nursing Home – Chicago, IL

Balmoral Nursing Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. Our LPNs play an important role in providing quality, resident-centered care while working collaboratively with CNAs, nursing leadership, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and appropriate nursing care to residents

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies

• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition

• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation

• Assist with the development and implementation of resident care plans

• Supervise and appropriately delegate responsibilities to CNAs

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and other nursing leadership

• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of care

• Follow facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and applicable regulatory requirements

• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to supervise and appropriately delegate to nursing staff

• Dependable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule

Available shifts include:

• AM: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• PM: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

• NOC: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM

• Rotating weekends and weekend availability may be required
