Travel Oncology RN - Day Shift, 16-Week Assignment

Travel nurse RN Oncology Overview Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Location: St. Louis, Missouri Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 16 weeks Hours Per Week: 40 Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Manage procedural radiation cases, including patient preparation, case progression, and discharge. Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts). No weekend or on‑call requirements. Float within scope to meet facility needs. Use Epic EMR for charting; prior experience required. Compliance with a 13‑week minimum contract. Maintain patient ratio of 1:5 and collaborate with the healthcare team. Qualifications Active Missouri RN license required at time of consideration; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Current ACLS and BLS certifications required. Epic EMR experience required. Chemotherapy (CHEMO) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certifications preferred. Oncology and procedural nursing experience preferred. First‑time travelers will not be considered. Additional Information Responsible for managing procedural radiation cases collaboratively with the care team, pre‑paring patients for procedures, and guiding them through to discharge. Navy blue scrubs required. Candidates must reside outside a 75‑mile radius of the facility to be eligible. No more than 7 days of Return‑to‑Office (RTO) per 13‑week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation. Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3‑month break in service is required. Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. Pre‑start orientation modules are required prior to beginning the assignment.
