Our inpatient rehabilitation teams are collaborative and patient-focused. You'll work together with Physical Therapy Assistants to treat patients of all ages and abilities. EPIC electronic charting system. Responsibilities Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy, including what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done; interpretation of data. Basic computer skills required. Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting. Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders. Must demonstrate knowledge of life‑span growth and development principles. Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well‑being of the patient. Promotes patient/caregiver self‑determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care. Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care. Acts as a patient advocate. Other duties as assigned. Pediatric responsibilities: Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions; address motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, etc. Interviewing children and family members, using physical examination to diagnose movement disorder. Ability to evaluate and treat patients 18 years old and older; float to adult units if needed. Evaluate and treat pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old; settings include inpatient and inpatient emergency department. Qualifications Less than one year of experience as a physical therapist; new graduates encouraged to apply. Bachelor's degree required. Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred. NM License of Physical Therapy required. BLS required at time of hire.
